Etta Wilson, a longtime member of WNBA’s Nashville Chapter, retires Dec. 15th from Books & Such Literary Agency. She has worked in publishing for nearly 30 years: as editor of trade books at Thomas Nelson; as children’s book editor at Abingdon Press, where she developed a list for the general trade; as head of book packager March Media; and as a literary agent. In 2007, Wilson joined Books & Such as the only agent in Christian publishing specializing in children’s books. Janet Grant, president of Books & Such, said, “When I first met Etta, I was charmed by her Southern warmth, but I soon found that she was of the Steel Magnolias crowd when it came to negotiating for her clients. I’m fortunate to have experienced the charming side of Etta, and will miss her wit and wry humor.”
