Panepucci digs up old outhouses, discovering old bottles, silverware, dolls, etc. In addition to its obvious use, outhouses were a place to put garbage rather than trucking it to a city dump site. Come hear about his adventures, what else he as discovered in the many sites visited, and how he got interested in this hobby.
The gathering will also serve as the WNBA Detroit Chapter Annual Meeting where there will be the election of board officers.

National Reading Group Month Welcome
Welcome to our Web site for the Detroit Chapter of the WNBA, the Women's National Book Association. The Detroit Chapter has been a vital part of the Women's National Book Association since 1966 and draws its membership from throughout the greater Detroit metropolitan region. We hold program-meetings, three to four times a year, that feature topics of interest to women, many related to books and reading. The chapter also supports various charitable endeavors and partnerships with other organizations that sustain the values of literacy and promoting opportunities of growth for women. Guests are always welcome to attend any chapter events.
Members of WNBA Detroit represent a diversity of book-related professions including, authors, editors, librarians, publishers, library workers, and booksellers. Women and men who love books and reading are invited to visit our programs and are encouraged to join our vital and friendly organization. Students in book-related fields of study are invited to join the Detroit Chapter at a special discounted student rate.
Sponsoring memberships are available to local businesses or organizations that wish to support the goals and activities of the WNBA Detroit Chapter. Sponsoring member organizations are entitled to have representatives attend all chapter events, nominate candidates for chapter awards, and receive the chapter newsletter. Mission
The Women's National Book Association is a national organization of women and men who work with and value books. WNBA exists to promote reading and to support the role of women in the community of the book.
The Detroit Chapter, as a subsidiary of the Women's National Book Association, shares the mission of the national organization.
Purpose
The purposes of WNBA are educational and charitable. The Detroit Chapter brings together women and men who are active in the community of the book as well as people who just like to read. The Chapter offers programs that help to educate and inform the public about authors, illustrators, publishers, reading, and that promote recognition of women's achievements in the book world.
