The Women’s National Book Association is organized under the laws of the State of New Jersey, where WNBA is incorporated. Jill Tardiff allows WNBA to use her New Jersey address to maintain the incorporation status. So long as a member living in New Jersey allows WNBA to cite her address, WNBA does not need to be incorporated in any other state. It is not necessary for the WNBA to be incorporated in the state in which each succeeding president resides. The national organization must file an annual report in New Jersey. The form is mailed to WNBA national in care of its New York office (PO Box 237, FDR Station, New York, NY 10150-023), then forwarded to the national treasurer for completion. An annual fee is paid. There is a penalty if this fee is not paid each year.
