Library of Congress
The Library of Congress is the nation's oldest federal cultural institution
and serves as the research arm of Congress. It is also the largest library
in the world, with more than 130 million items on approximately 530
miles of bookshelves. The collections include more than 29 million books
and other printed materials, 2.7 million recordings, 12 million photographs,
4.8 million maps, and 58 million manuscripts.
National Museum of Women in the Arts
The National Museum of Women in the Arts is the only museum in the world
dedicated exclusively to recognizing the contributions of women artists.
Sewall Belmont House
The Sewall-Belmont House and Museum celebrates women's progress toward
equality and their continuing contributions to our society. Through
educational programs, tours, exhibits, research and publications, the
museum is committed to preserving the legacy of the historic National
Woman's Party -- the campaign for women's equal rights – and bringing
